Weekend Open Gym - Rules and Regulations

SPS Weekend Open Gym Use

Sturgis Public Schools is happy to open the Sturgis High School athletic facilities during non-holiday weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from noon to 4:00 PM.  SPS understands that the schools belong to the community, but that we have an obligation to keep our facilities in good condition and safe.  During these “open gym times” an SPS representative will be available so the athletic wing entrance door will be unlocked- these are the only doors that should be used.  All activities will be ended by 4:00 PM on both days, allowing the facilities to be cleaned and secured.  SPS is beginning this offering on a trial basis- your cooperation with the rules involved will help to keep the program continuing into the future. Thank you for your interest in participating in this community program.  It is part of Sturgis Public Schools commitment to “StepUp St. Joseph County”- a program  intended to make our county the healthiest one in the State of Michigan.  Please visit their website at: www.stepupsjc.netPlease also be aware that the Doyle Center is an excellent venue for physical activities of all kinds- check out their website: www.sturgismi.gov/doyle.
